As reported by Sports Illustrated, Bronny James, son of NBA superstar LeBron James, has already etched his name in NBA history by being drafted to play alongside his father on the Los Angeles Lakers. Now, he's set to secure a multiyear fully guaranteed rookie contract with the Lakers, a departure from the standard rookie two-way contract typically offered to second-round picks. This significant development was reported by Shams Charania of The Athletic.

As the No. 55 pick in the 2024 NBA draft, James's trajectory as a developmental prospect in Los Angeles presents the opportunity for him to not only make history by playing with his dad, but also to potentially become a vital part of the franchise's future once his father steps down.
LeBron has agreed to sign on with the Los Angeles Lakers for another two-years at $104 million which includes a player option for 2025-26 and a no-trade clause, sources shared with ESPN July 3rd.
The signing returns James for his 22nd NBA season and essentially becomes a one-plus-one deal that grants him the room to reassess his Lakers and NBA future the following summer.
Looking ahead, Bronny will embark on his professional journey under the guidance of the new coach, JJ Redick, and alongside mentors LeBron James and Anthony Davis as he endeavors to make his mark at the NBA level.
