As reported by TechCrunch, after sifting through thousands of startups from around the globe, TechCrunch (TC) is excited to introduce the 2023 Startup Battlefield 200, their invitation-only cohort of game-changing early-stage startups.
TechCrunch will host these favorable founders at TechCrunch Disrupt in San Francisco, from September 19th through 21st.
Last year, they broadened the Startup Battlefield to complement the pace of technological innovation across geographies and industries. Their goal was to select the innovational startups that would foreseeably have a positive impact on the world and invite them to exhibit at Disrupt 2023.
Their thesis proved true again this year. TC opened applications for SB 200 last April and received literally thousands of applications from around the world. Each application was reviewed several times by the TechCrunch editorial team. The batch this year gave them an exceptional picture of where the early-stage industry is headed.
While AI yielded the most applications, certain companies stand to disrupt biotech, healthcare, climate tech and even some “crappy” startups. The volatility of global financial markets prompted innovation in the fintech space. The selected companies receive a complimentary exhibition space, access to pitch trainings, masterclasses, private receptions, mentorship opportunities, VC office hours and more.
