According to a report from Cointelegraph, Roblox, the online gaming platform denies any acceptance of the cryptocurrency XRP as a payment method.
The confusion stemmed from a now-deleted post from @BitPAy on their X (formerly Twitter) account.
"News Alert 📰 @Xsolla now accepts XRP(@Ripple) with BitPay as a payment method for their games, such as @Smitegame and @Roblox. You can use your favorite cryptocurrency to buy, play, and enjoy gaming like never before. #BitPay #crypto #Smite #Xsolla #Roblox”

Roblox has denied supporting XRP as a payment method after crypto payment service provider BitPay claimed Roblox’s in-game payments manager Xsolla was accepting the token for the game.
Despite the disheartening turn of events for XRP enthusiasts, the work is still being performed to bring crypto payments to the mainstream.
As reported by Cointelegraph, Xsolla has been consistent in its aim to merge crypto into its payment system. In August 2022, it collaborated with the automated crypto management platform Coinchange Financial and live-streaming social Web3 platform TradeZing to create a nonfungible tokens payment solution. In August 2023, it combined efforts with Crypto.com to incorporate the latter’s checkout solution into Xsolla’s Pay Station platform.
The collaboration of Xsolla and BitPay dates back to 2014 when the service began accepting payments in Bitcoin. In September 2023, BitPay and Xsolla made PayPal USD (PYUSD) payments available for merchants and consumers.
